The Operation
Over 33% of Puerto Rican childbearing women were subjected to a sterilization surgery without their consent as social policy and a means of population control.

This information in the video is specifically about Puerto Rican women and femmes, but this took place with women and femmes in many BIPOC communities in the United States. Some individuals have stated that their GYN has forced them to take medication without telling that it would sterilize them or make them infertile and this is still happening today at clinics across the country.
