24 people were arrested for demanding no evictions on stolen land, and are now facing misdemeanor charges of “presence at unlawful assembly.” The Minneapolis Park Board called in the police to evict residents at Powderhorn East Sanctuary and bulldoze through their belongings, assisted and supported by officers from the MPD 3rd Precinct and Hennepin County. Under the new “permit” system, more evictions and clearings are coming.
**Justice for Elijah McClain
What Happened
**August 24th, 2019, 23-year-old Elijah McClain was walking home after buying some tea at a local convenience store. According to Elijah’s family, Elijah, who was anemic, preferred to wear a ski mask to keep his face warm while he was walking. The Aurora Police Department received a call of a “suspicious man”. This call resulted in Elijah’s death. After the McClain family requested the bodycam footage from the officers on scene it was reported that in the footage.
When the paramedics arrived they administered a dose of Ketamine to the already unconscious Elijah to “sedate” him. He was pronounced dead August 27th, 2019, at only 23 years old of a heart attack. Denver 7 News stated, “…they couldn’t determine whether McClain’s death was an accident, was due to natural causes, or is a homicide related to the police department’s use of a carotid hold”. The officers on the scene were placed on temporary leave, however, they are back in the field with no charges.

Justice for Breonna Taylor
What Happened Breonna Taylor, a young EMT, was murdered in her home due to a “clerical error” that caused police to search her home with a no-knock warrant, despite the actual suspect already being in custody. The officers were reported to have been plain clothed and did not announce that they were police. They shot dozens of rounds into Breonna’s home and at least 8 of them hit her, causing her death. Louisville Police murdered Breonna. For more information on this story, read here.

Please be advised, this letter links to The Action Pac, which is run in part by Shaun King. Although these phone lines TAC set up may be helpful, we do not recommend supporting or donating money to any King affiliated organizations. There is much you can google on this, but focus on the stories told by Black women, who Shaun has repeatedly stole the work of.
Justice for Layleen Xtravaganza Cubilette-Polanco
What Happened
Layleen was being held in solitary confinement at Rikers. She had known epilepsy and should not have been left in solitary with her condition. She had a seizure and was left to die in her cell. There was a gap in time where guards tried to wake her for approximately an hour and a half before calling for help.

Murder of Tony McDade
Who Was Violent
This information is not yet available due to the laws of the state. If you find this information out, please email resourcecollective2020@gmail.com
Description of Event
The murder of Tony McDade. Tony was attacked by a group of violent assaulters which was documented after the incident in a Facebook live video that Tony shared on his page. The information surrounding his death is still unclear as a FL amendment is blocking the release of the killing officer’s name. That officer has only been placed on administrative leave. At this time, I’m unaware if that leave is unpaid.

I’m calling to request an open and public investigation into the murder of Tony McDade. Your officer’s name has not yet been made public, but we are aware that this officer has been put on leave. I am asking that this officer and any other officers at the scene during the time of the murder, be arrested and charged with murder in the second degree as well as hate crime charges. I ask that any body camera footage be released with the concent of Tony McDade’s family. There are eyewitness reports of this white officer using the N-word at Tony right before murdering him. Tony, being a trans man, has faced much violence, including an attack the night before his murder. I am also calling upon the Tallahassee police department to do a full investigation into the attackers and show public support for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Free Chrystul Kizer
What Happened
At 17-years old, Chrystul was trafficked by Randall P. Volar III from Milwaukee to Kenosha, Wisconsin where she experienced ongoing physical and sexual abuse. Volar was under active investigation by the Kenosha Police Department for sexual conduct with additional underage girls prior to his death. In the state of Wisconsin, people under the age of 18 years old are not able to consent to engage in sexual activity therefore, any “sexual conduct” Volar had with these girls, including Chrystul, was sexual violence.
According to Chrystul and her legal counsel, on June 5, 2018 Chrystul resisted Volar’s attempts to forcibly engage in sexual activity. During this struggle, Chrystul shot Volar in an act of self-defense. Chrystul has been charged, wrongfully, for surviving violence. She is being criminalized for staying alive.
Chrystul Kizer is an incarcerated trafficking survivor who is being charged with life in prison for acting in self-defense against her trafficker. The punishment that Chrystul is facing for defending her own life signals that Black women and girls have no selves to defend. Right now, Kenosha County District Attorney Michael Graveley has the power to drop all charges against Chrystul immediately. We are urging Graveley to do the right thing and drop all charges now so that instead of enduring more violence, Chrystul’s healing can being with her family and community. Please show your support for Chrystul by calling the DA and demanding he drop all charges against Chrystul.

I’m calling to report the extreme use of force and unwarranted aggression against the NY Assemblywoman Diana Richardson. NYPD pepper sprayed peaceful protestors including Assemblywoman Diana Richardson, at a protest in Brooklyn. Officer Clinton, badge number 17324, and another officer tried to “square up” to Richardson to put their fists up to fight the Assemblywoman and her comrade. We ask that you hold this officer accountable and realize that you are acting outside of the law, the law that the Assemblywoman is much more informed on than the police officers who have consistently violated it during these peaceful protests. We would like you to acknowledge publicly that you have assaulted an elected official and you are now acting outside of the law.
